The Silesian Philharmonic once again joins the program of the four-year celebration of the centenary of the Silesian uprisings and the return of parts of Upper Silesia to Materia. Among the March announcements of the most important events of the celebration of the Year of the centenary of the outbreak and the Silesian uprising was the signing of a letter of intent between the Marshal’s office of the Silesian Voivodeship, Ars Cameralis and Jan Andrzej Pawel Kaczmark, a member of the American and European film academy, Oscar winner for music for the film “the dreamer”, nominated for the Golden Globes and the British Academy Award. The subject of the letter was the organization of a multimedia event at the Silesian Stadium on 31 August 2019, which will include a musical piece dedicated to the Silesian uprisings.I believe in the power of music. Great events should be encased in music, then something permanent remains, a memory enchanted in music that can be continued, lives on as a kind of message. It will be a symphonic piece for orchestra, several choirs and soloists. Music gives a feeling of strength, joy, something important. The word is important, but with music it has even more power
